- The case is all solid ,Brazilian Mahogany,
no artificial board materials are used..
- The finish is by traditional French polishing
and waxing,this time honoured method gives
a finish which not only enhances the true beauty
of the wood but which also improves with age.

- The clock movement is made by Hermle of Germany.
It is an 8 day 4/4 Westminster chime spring
driven movement with floating balance.
- Dial details
- The arched dial features a type of moon dial
known on old clocks as a rolling moon - with
the Arabic numbers indicating the moon's age.
The full moon shows on the 15th lunar day.
Clocks with rolling moons were very popular
in the provinces, especially in rural areas
where travellers and farmers would obviously
find this information very helpful.
