- the case is made from solid English Oak (as shown) or Brazilian Mahogany .
- the case is antiqued and traditionally finished by French polishing, this
time honoured method gives a finish which not only enhances the true beauty of
the wood but which also improves with age.
- Carrying handle
- the carrying handles are specially cast for us to our own design to
represent handles from the late seventeenth century.
- Spandrels
- like the carrying handle we have the Cherub sprandrels made for us to suit
our size chapter ring.
- Dial details
- dial back plate 1.6mm brass with hand engraved centre of a country sceene.
- chapter ring 1.2mm brass 150mm dia, engraved numerals, grained and silver
plated.
- the brass and silver are not lacquered so that the true character and
natural lustre of the metals is allowed to mature with age.
- Clock movements
- Hermle movement - 8 day 4/4 Westminster chime spring driven.
- Kieninger movement - 8 day triple chime with auto night shut off, spring
driven.
